The Saboteur exposes the subtle, destructive strategies of satan that often go unnoticed in the lives of believers and unbelievers alike. Guided by the Holy Spirit, Heather Otis-Tayloe offers a clear, biblical exploration of how the enemy gains footholds—those “welcome mats” we unknowingly lay at the doors of our hearts—and how to remove them through spiritual discernment and obedience to God.
Unlike many books focused solely on knowing God, The Saboteur sheds light on knowing our adversary, whose mission is to steal, kill, and destroy. Each chapter reveals a facet of satan’s deceptive nature and tactics, drawing from Scripture to help readers recognize his influence in everyday life. The goal is not fear but freedom: to move from merely accepting Jesus as Savior to living with Him as Lord over every area of life.
Written with biblical insight and practical application, this book challenges readers to mature beyond spiritual complacency, confront the schemes of the enemy, and embrace the victorious power of Christ. The Saboteur is a wake-up call to every believer who longs to live in the full authority and freedom of God’s Spirit.

The Saboteur unmasks the diabolical schemes the kingdom of darkness has been using against mankind since the beginning of time. In Hosea 4:6, God declares, “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.” Knowing God and understanding your adversary are both key in recognizing and dismantling strongholds. Heather Otis Tayloe does an excellent job in revealing these principles to her readers. This book is a must read for all believers!
In Matthew 10:16, Jesus commands us to be “shrewd as snakes and innocent as doves.” This is a call for His people to possess practical wisdom in understanding and anticipating how the enemy operates so that we can effectively take our stand against him, all while maintaining our integrity and purity of heart. In this exceptional book, The Saboteur, Heather Tayloe exposes the motives and methods of the devil and his army in a way that empowers us to fearlessly exercise the authority we have in Christ Jesus so that His victory can be experienced as our own!
You hold in your hand a prophetic exhortation prepared for you by Heather Tayloe. Heather is a clear prophetic voice in our generation. From her beginning days she was trained in the ways of the Lord. She is both sensitive to the voice of the Holy Spirit and true to the Holy Scriptures. She writes with a divine urgency to prepare God’s people to navigate this present darkness. “Arise, shine; for your light has come! And the glory of the Lord is risen upon you. For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and deep darkness the people; but the Lord will arise over you, and His glory will be seen upon you” (Isaiah 60:1-2). If you have been looking for spiritual clarity exposing the unseen powers working among us, The Saboteur is a valuable manual for the last days.
It seems sometimes we spend more time talking about issues than understanding what they are and how to solve them. In The Saboteur, Heather identifies deep needs concerning people’s lives today and teaches biblical solutions. The world is desperate for the truths in God’s Word, but doesn’t know how to find the meaning behind the words. We want to know God but don’t see our own barriers that keep us from Him. We have a real enemy intent on destroying every part of our lives. Heather addresses the challenges and offers real solutions to solve them. I do not recommend this book unless you are serious about true fulfillment in your life!
The Saboteur is more than a book. It is a plea by its author to understand that the evil one is real! This truth is being shunned, shrugged off, or casually overlooked by non-believers and believers alike. Heather Otis Tayloe recognizes that those in the Church are often not being equipped from the pulpit because the comfort zone of congregants is at risk. With a heart like Jesus and armed with Scripture, Ms. Tayloe urges the reader to wake up to the reality of satan as the saboteur who seeks to kill, steal, and destroy. He does not come parading a pitch fork with horns on his head. Rather he works in the dark corners of everyday life with the subtle tools of doubt, fear, mistrust, lust, greed, and power grabs. He enters our lives through unassuming gateways frequently found in social media, games, movies, and music, to name a few. We are often unaware that we are puppets, and he is pulling our strings. Ms. Tayloe admonishes that the only way to cut these ties and be free from the saboteur’s grasp is to cling to Jesus and delve deep into the Word. The Saboteur is a wake-up call to those fully asleep and to those dozing behind the wheels of their lives. Once you’ve read it, you can’t help but rise and shine in to a new awareness of the truth.
There is a well-devised, well-coordinated, and pervasive lie among the people of God that the devil cannot touch us because we are confessing and committed Christians, thus untouchable by evil and its grotesque intentions! The result of this willful ignorance is, “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I also will reject you from being priest for Me” (Hosea 4:6). The Saboteur by Heather Tayloe is a study exposing the works of the devil that have notoriously been ignored by the church for centuries. As a pastor and traveling evangelist for many years, I have seen the fear and skepticism among church leaders concerning the works of the devil and his relentless pursuits against Christ followers. Choosing ignorance of his tactics and a disdain to hear about this dark and tangled web, they choose to delete the passages of Scripture that evidences the truths concerning our fight against satan and his minions. I applaud Heather for taking this weight head on and writing The Saboteur. These truths have been concealed and ignored for far too long! All people of all ages should read this engaging and instructional book and learn how to fight with our prescribed weapons of warfare.
